THE ADASINA DIFFERENCE

Our Approach Goes Beyond Traditional ESG Metrics – We Partner With Impacted Communities to Create Proprietary Investment Criteria.

Why Choose Adasina’s ETF?

Designed as a core strategy, Adasina’s ETF (Ticker Symbol: JSTC) combines active social justice management with passive financial management in the form of a global all-cap ETF. Some of the attributes allocators tell us they find valuable about our investment strategy include:

  • Transparent and Consistent Strategy: Allocators partner with Adasina because our strategy offers logical and ideological consistency, as well as full transparency into our approach, giving investors confidence they are getting what they signed up for.
  • Impact Priorities Defined by Impacted Communities: Adasina works closely with Social Justice Partners — organizations working to advance racial, gender, economic, and/or climate justice within and on behalf of the most impacted communities — to ensure we focus on the social justice issues that are most critical and urgent, and to keep us accountable to the communities they serve.
  • Social Justice Issues Translated Into Investable Criteria: Trained in both investing and social justice principles, our Portfolio Management Team translates social justice concerns from our partners into material investment considerations. We derive our data-driven Social Justice Investing Criteria (SJIC) and corresponding metrics directly from these insights, and apply them in our investment strategies.
  • Non-Negotiable Social Justice Criteria: We don’t make tradeoffs among impact criteria, or prefer some social justice metrics over others. All of our Social Justice Investment Criteria (SJIC) are applied equally, and no violations are overlooked in favor of any other considerations. Violating any one of our SJIC renders a company ineligible for inclusion in our portfolio. Perhaps this is why the New York Times called our SJIC “some of the most rigorous” they had seen.

INVESTOR DATASETS

Every Investment Counts:
Does Your Current Portfolio Advance Social Justice?

With Adasina’s public Investor Datasets, investors can evaluate their current portfolio’s performance on key social justice issues. Explore our Investor Datasets and take action with your advisor to remove companies that violate your values.

What is an investor dataset? Adasina works with Social Justice Partners to create and release data about the behavior of publicly traded companies. We partner with social justice organizations to identify the metrics investors can use to advance social justice movement goals. Where relevant data does not already exist, we work closely with Social Justice Partners to create a new dataset. We then publicize the dataset, integrate it into our own portfolios, and mobilize investors to influence companies and governments to change harmful practices that contribute to systemic injustice.
