Danielle Burns brings nearly 30 years of experience in financial services with a focus on traditional and impact investing. As the Managing Director, Growth at Adasina Social Capital, she leads a team of Directors, ensuring the successful execution of communications and institutional business development strategies. Danielle is passionate about driving economic equality and leveraging finance as a tool for racial, gender, and climate justice.

Prior to joining Adasina, she served as VP of Partner Success and VP, Head of Business Development at CNote, a woman-owned impact investment platform that helps corporations, institutions, and individuals invest in under-resourced communities. During her time at CNote, she spearheaded initiatives around racial justice, climate action, and gender equity while educating investors on how to use financial innovation to close the wealth gap and promote economic parity.

Danielle’s career also includes leadership roles at First Affirmative Financial Network, where she led sales and marketing efforts that helped the company grow into the largest sustainable  responsible investing advisor network in the US, and management positions at Wachovia Corporation. Her professional experience, combined with her personal background of growing up in a low- to moderate-income community, gives her unique insights into the financial resources and opportunities that help communities thrive.

Danielle is an expert in helping institutions and advisors navigate impact investing, measure impact, and understand the role of minority depository institutions and community finance organizations. She is also a strong advocate for women of color as agents of change in the financial industry.

Danielle holds an MBA with an emphasis in marketing, which complements her expertise in business development, strategic alignment, and communication. She serves on the board of Green America and holds a Center for Board Fiduciary-designated Board-Certified Fiduciary certification.

Danielle resides in Indianapolis, IN, with her husband and son. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, exploring culinary creations, and listening to live music.
