Internship opportunity with American Friends Service Committee
Researching the Profiteers from ICE Surveillance, Immigrant Detention, and the Border Industries

Follow the money… Investigate the industries of immigrant detention and mass surveillance, the U.S. Mexico border wall and the exploitation of immigrant and border communities.

This internship is with the American Friends Service Committee, for six months with a possibility for extension, part time (20 hours a week), flexible hours, remote, paying $20 an hour, no benefits.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:  The key responsibilities of the position include the following:

  1. Maintain the Investigate online database www.afsc.org/investigate, update information about companies and campaigns, manage a database of relevant sources, contacts and resources;
  2. Conduct corporate research about the prisons and border industries, write short summaries about companies and industries;
  3. Create resources for activists and investors to support more initiatives targeting these corporations.
